Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Benton, LA, serving the elementary school population. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 19, 2026, supporting young learners in an itinerant role across multiple locations. The focus is on delivering specialized instruction to children aged 3 to 4 within their homeschool environments, daycares, or Head Start centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide developmentally appropriate instruction tailored to the needs of early learners with special education needs.
• Travel between assigned school sites to deliver consistent, high-quality special education services.
• Lead Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, ensuring full compliance with IEP timelines and requirements.
• Monitor student progress rigorously and adjust instructional plans based on student outcomes.
• Implement instructional strategies aligned with state and local curricula to promote diverse learner success.
• Organize mobile learning environments and integrate technology tools to enhance student engagement.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and submit timely progress reports.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and community partners to support holistic student development and success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana Special Education Teaching Certification or equivalent teaching certification specific to special education.
• Experience working in early childhood special education settings preferred.
• Ability to manage itinerant caseload with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and multidisciplinary teams.
