ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Brownwood, Texas.

\nRN - Med Surg
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Must start on 1/5/2026
\n• Work with adult and geriatric patients on a 13-bed med-surg unit
\n• Maintain 5:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Daily census ranges from 10-13 patients
\n• Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday is considered a weekend shift)
\n• One call shift required per 6-week schedule
\n• 40 hours of orientation provided
\n• Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required with travel experience preferred
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Must be comfortable with med-surg unit procedures (no telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular drips)
\n• Skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tubes, colostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tube management, heparin administration, insulin management, and wound care
\n• Handle patient diagnoses including post-op, orthopedic cases, diabetes, pneumonia, wound care, CBI, and urology cases
\n• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy
\n• Allscripts charting system experience preferred
\n• Must pass facility drug screening upon arrival (includes marijuana testing)
\n• Complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
\n• Documentation due Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
