The homelessness prevention administration (HPA) works to keep New Yorkers in their homes. HPA works with the Department of Homeless Services (DHS), the NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA) and many other organizations and City agencies to assist families and individuals in need in obtaining and maintaining stable, affordable housing. The Office of Civil Justice (OCJ) sits within HPA and consolidates the City's various legal services programs at DSS/HRA and will work to increase the availability of legal services citywide. To do this, the Office coordinates with legal services providers; the court system; the advocacy community; elected officials City officials inside and outside of HRA/DSS; policy makers; households in need; and other key stakeholders. Under the direction of the team supervisor the team clerical aide will provide clerical support services to the Office of Civil Justice. Minimum Qualifications
Qualification requirements a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills requirement keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
