Research and Archival Content Specialist (ABC News) Location: New York, New York, United States Business: ABC News Date posted: Oct. 19, 2025 Join a small dynamic team and work with some of the most dedicated people in the footage licensing industry as our Research and Content Specialist. The position will report into the Director of ABC NEWS VideoSource, the content licensing division of ABC NEWS. This position requires a highly organized team player who will interact with outside clients, R&C and the VideoSource staff on a daily basis. Responsibilities Manage the asset retrieval process for all third parties creating productions owned by ABC NEWS. Conduct research to locate suitable ABC NEWS content in our proprietary database and communicate results to clients. Liaise with outside production companies hired by ABC to produce content from the ABC library. Manage delivery workflow for all screening and master files. Record and catalog each asset delivered for future review. Coordinate and perform various administrative tasks related to this position. Basic Qualifications At least 3+ years of footage research experience. Understanding of news footage and the creative process behind footage selection. Basic knowledge of copyright, intellectual property, and rights of privacy. Strong customer‑facing project management experience. Proven ability to manage several large, multi‑scale projects on time and in scope without supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, Avid, NCS, and Galaxy (training will be provided). Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $62,400 to $83,600 per year based on a 40‑hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
