Your Impact

  • Use your knowledge and expertise to act as trusted advisor to capital markets clients in securitization transactions and to provide counsel on program improvements, innovations and strategic changes. Your advice will help shape company policies and operations and will impact the industry in furtherance of Freddie Mac's mission.

  • Collaborate with peers, manage teams of outside counsel and internal legal professionals and interact on behalf of the company with regulators, counterparties and industry organizations.

  • Be part of the influential legal team that partners with business clients to bring to market complex MBS offerings and novel structures.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree; membership in good standing in a state Bar and a minimum of eight years of legal experience; Minimum 10 years of related work experience.

  • Transactional experience in securitization, structured finance or capital markets with a major law firm or corporate law department.

  • Indepth knowledge of federal securities laws and securities market practices.

  • Ability to lead and manage transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction/disclosure documents for complex residential (singlefamily and multifamily) MBS issuances.

  • Understanding of legal, market and regulatory issues affecting the securities and MBS markets.

  • Ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment and to collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal professionals in order to deliver results and meet business objectives.

  • A background in business or finance is a plus.

This position has an annualized marketbased salary range of $224,000 - $336,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
