Position Summary
Join the Vallen team as a Temp Service Tech - Projects (Journeymen Electrician) I this role you will lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, alarm devices/instruments apparatus, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties: \n - Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems
\n - Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations
\n - Installs control and distribution apparatus' and fastens in place
\n - Test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components
\n - Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
\n - May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
\n - Work with high and low voltage systems
\n - Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems
\n - Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools
\n - Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
\n - Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.

Qualifications
\n - May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
\n - Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
\n - Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
\n - Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools

\n
Job Requirements: The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,
so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
\n - Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor Weather conditions
\n - Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
\n
\n
- May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access
\n
required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and
maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
\n - Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
\n - Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment
\n - May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across
\n
\n
Construction/Industrial Site: \n - Must have required tools
\n - May require U.S. Driver License
\n - Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required
\n - Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, and fit for duty medical
\n

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk. Must have the ability to walk at a regular pace for up to 15 continuous minutes. Must be able to work from a standing position for 8-10 hours. Must be able to bend, climb, and stoop as needed for access of equipment to repair and service. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Must have the ability to climb stairwells up to 15 high. Must have the ability to ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, case) up to 24' high. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
