We invite you to explore opportunities to join our organization and contribute to our mission. We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Director to support our growing biopharmaceutical operations at our on-site facility in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Overview of this Position:
The Director of Supply Chain plays an essential role in overseeing Afton Scientific’s end-to-end supply chain operations and ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective processes. This position leads supply chain strategy, manages procurement, inventory, and logistics, and ensures successful implementation of ERP/MRP systems, including SAP Business One. The Director guides and supports supply chain staff, drives continuous improvement initiatives, maintains adherence to federal, state, and industry regulations, and ensures accurate and secure supply chain data management. This role is critical to supporting production goals and enabling operational excellence across the organization.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
•At least seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain, or a similar role with at least three (3) of those years being in a leadership capacity
•Proven experience with ERP/MRP systems implementation
•At least three (3) years of experience managing employees; including performance improvement plans, performance reviews and building career ladders
Preferred Requirements:
•Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment
•SAP Experience (ideally in an implementation capacity)
•Exceptional communication skills
•Experience with OFCCP Compliance Regulation
•Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Responsibilities Include:
•Lead the implementation of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) within SAP Business One
•Serve as the primary knowledge holder for ERP system implementation and ensure successful knowledge transfer from consultants
•Develop and execute supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of supply chain processes
•Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement, inventory, and logistics operations
