Responsibilities: As a Stagehand Driver, no two days are the same. You'll need to:
- Safely drive company vehicles: Sprinter vans, 16' and 24' box trucks
- Navigate city traffic and load-in/load-out locations with care and professionalism
- Provide exceptional customer service on-site and on the road
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and equipment handling
- Lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, and use basic hand tools
- Handle equipment with precision at some of the most prestigious venues in the industry
Qualifications: We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
- Must have at least 2 years of stagehand experience
- Clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Valid DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain)
- 3-5+ years of driving experience with trucks (16'-24') and sprinter vans
- City driving experience
- 5+ years of stagehand or live event production experience
- Flexible schedule - availability on nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication, professional appearance, and excellent work ethic
- Bilingual is a plus
- Accept all other duties assigned by immediate supervisor/manager

About: Drape Kings is a nationwide event services specializing in rental and manufacturing of pipe and drape equipment, as well as AV-Drop Modular Backdrop Systems, primarily for live events. Along with full-service installation, other theatricals include Kabuki Reveals, traveler tracks, Step and Repeats, event carpet, and many related scenic elements.
With the core business in the event pipe and drape arena, projects can range from basic drape masking to revealing a building facade. The more recent addition of the globally accepted AV-Drop System allows Drape Kings to offer complete event solutions.
