Special Projects Logistics And Quality Assurance Manager

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Special Projects Logistics and Quality Assurance Manager with experience in aircraft maintenance support, configuration management, and sustainment planning. The selected candidate will provide direct support to the 645th Aeronautical Systems Group, Dayton, OH, delivering comprehensive logistics, maintenance, and quality assurance expertise across the program portfolio. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the logistics, maintenance, and quality assurance management specialist for the 645th Aeronautical Systems Group. Primary duties consist of providing comprehensive logistics and program management support to the USAF Program Director and program managers, with emphasis on aircraft maintenance, supply support, configuration management, and product and quality assurance functions. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor cost, schedule, and performance; evaluating contractor-developed technical data, manuals, acceptance test plans, and engineering changes; and delivering timely logistics and QA guidance to customers and deployed maintenance personnel. The position also assists the program manager in addressing critical issues requiring emergency orders or rapid reaction contracting actions driven by urgent user needs. Additional duties include developing and managing depot-level maintenance and sustainment requirements for system upgrades, improvements, and modifications, as well as providing technical assistance to resolve engineering and maintenance concerns. The role requires close coordination with U.S. Army helicopter program offices, manufacturing and sustainment contractors, and unit-level operators and maintainers across the Big Safari portfolio.

What You'll Do

  • Provide logistics and management support services, emphasizing in quality assurance.
  • Advise USAF Program Director and PMs on aircraft maintenance, supply support, configuration, technical issues, and quality and product assurance matters.
  • Assist USAF PMs in monitoring contractor cost, schedule and performance.
  • Assist the program manager in critical issues that require an emergency order/rapid reaction contract derived from user specifications.
  • Provide timely logistics and quality assurance guidance to customer and deployed maintenance technicians.
  • Evaluate contractor generated technical data, technical manuals, acceptance test plans and engineering changes.
  • Provide management depot maintenance and sustainment requirements for system upgrades, improvements and modifications.
  • Provide technical assistance as required to resolve system engineering and maintenance concerns.
  • Coordinate with US Army helicopter program offices, manufacturing and sustainment contractor personnel, and flying unit level operators and maintenance personnel

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • An active Top Secret clearance is required
  • Demonstrated experience providing logistics and program management support with a strong emphasis on quality assurance
  • Prior experience advising program directors and program managers on aircraft maintenance, supply support, configuration management, technical issues, and product/quality assurance
  • Proven background assisting PMs in monitoring contractor cost, schedule, and performance
  • Experience supporting rapid-reaction or emergency contracting actions driven by urgent user requirements
  • Ability to deliver timely logistics and quality assurance guidance to customers and deployed maintenance personnel
  • Hands-on experience evaluating contractor-generated technical data, technical manuals, acceptance test procedures, and engineering change proposals
  • Familiarity with developing and managing depot-level maintenance and sustainment requirements for system upgrades, improvements, and modifications
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance to resolve system engineering and maintenance concerns
  • Experience coordinating with U.S. Army helicopter program offices, manufacturing and sustainment contractors, and unit-level operators and maintainers
  • Prior active-duty experience in weapon system life-cycle logistics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools)
