Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support within a K-12 in-person public school setting located in Bothell, WA. The position is full-time and contract-based, running from ASAP through June 12, 2026. Two openings are available: one at the elementary level in a developmental learning program and another in a developmental preschool program requiring early childhood certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored special education instruction aligned with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary
  • Support social and emotional development alongside academic growth
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Special Education License and Certification are mandatory
  • Early Childhood Special Education Certification required for preschool role
  • Proven experience working with special education students, preferably in developmental learning settings
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and curriculum adaptations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
