Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide specialized early childhood special education instruction for 34-year-old students in an itinerant role across multiple school sites, including homeschools, daycares, and Head Start centers in the Benton, LA area. This full-time, contract position runs ASAP through 5/19/2026 and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons tailored to diverse learner needs, aligned with state and local curricula.
• Lead IEP meetings and ensure full compliance with special education regulations.
• Rigorously monitor student progress toward IEP goals and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Utilize technology and organize mobile instructional environments to create a positive, engaging learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, and community partners to support student success and well-being.
• Manage a caseload by traveling between various educational settings as an itinerant special education provider.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Louisiana Special Education teaching certification (EC Louisiana Sped cert/teaching cert) is required.
• Experience working with early childhood learners, particularly ages 3 to 4, in special education.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with educational technology tools.
• Ability to conduct thorough progress monitoring and prepare timely reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families and community stakeholders.

Location: Onsite only in Benton, Louisiana at various early childhood education settings within the nearby school district.
