Job Description

7am-4pm, 1 hour lunch break from 12pm-1pm, 6 day/48 hr work week

Daily Duties: Working at on-site shop to maintain and service dairy and farm equipment. Servicing fleet of semi trucks, tractors, trailers, pickups, and Kubotas. Primary work is done at shop with occasional work done on-field at farms. Major work is outsourced to dealers.

Repair (responding to flow of equipment breakdowns and fixing if possible)

Maintenance (preventative in checking fluids, tires, brakes and immediate in troubleshooting equipment issues)

Inventory (ordering parts from vendors and coordinating delivery logistics)

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with farm machinery, heavy equipment, or automotive repair
  
• Dealership experience preferred but not required
  
• Strong mechanical knowledge including transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, diesel engines, brakes, and electrical systems
  
• Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals for troubleshooting complex issues
  
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
  
• Experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering is a plus
  
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers is desirable
  
• Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  
• Strong customer service skills for interacting with clients or team members as needed
