The Senior Sterile Processing Technician supports operating room clinical staff by managing, decontaminating, and sterilizing surgical instruments following strict guidelines. They troubleshoot instrument issues, facilitate quick instrument turnover, and ensure availability of necessary supplies for surgical procedures. Certification and experience in sterile processing or OR scrub technician roles are required, with the position located onsite at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Responsible for providing assistance and support for clinical staff in the Operating Room. Serves as the central point of contact for OR Clinical Staff, SPD, and General Stores. Assists with location and transport of case carts. Troubleshoots instrument problems. Able to recommend alternatives when desired instrumentation is unavailable. Facilitates the instrument fast turn-over process. Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments in the Operating Room following recommended guidelines and provides accurate documentation for this process. Assists O.R. Clinical staff in obtaining necessary instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures.
