Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and dependable Temporary Staff Accountant to support our accounting team during a period of increased workload and/or transition. This role will play a key part in daytoday accounting operations, monthend close support, and financial accuracy. The ideal candidate can ramp up quickly, work independently, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  
• Support monthend and yearend close processes
  
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
  
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  
• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with GAAP
  
• Prepare financial schedules and reports as needed
  
• Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to information requests
  
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues
  
• Perform additional accounting or finance tasks as assigned
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  
• 2+ years of staff accountant or general accounting experience
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
  
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
  
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables preferred)
  
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
  
• Availability for the full duration of the temporary assignment
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous temporary or contract accounting experience
  
• Experience supporting audits or system conversions
  
• Public accounting background
  

Pay Details: $36.00 to $45.00 per hour
