Job Description Job Description Aperion Care is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regional Nurse Consultant to provide clinical leadership and support across six skilled nursing facilities in Illinois. This role is ideal for a strong, hands-on clinical leader who thrives in a multi-site environment and is passionate about elevating quality, compliance, and nursing performance. Responsibilities Provide ongoing clinical oversight and support to DONs, ADONs, and nursing leadership teams across the region. Ensure facility compliance with CMS, IDPH, and federal/state regulations. Perform onsite audits, mock surveys, chart reviews, and follow-up assessments. Lead and assist with survey readiness, corrective action plans, and quality improvement initiatives (QAPI). Support staffing analysis, clinical systems implementation, and process improvement. Train and mentor nursing leaders on best practices, documentation, infection control, and regulatory standards. Monitor clinical metrics, incident trends, and quality indicators to ensure positive resident outcomes. Collaborate with regional operations and corporate leadership to address challenges and strengthen overall performance. Qualifications Active RN license in Illinois (required). Strong background as a Regional Nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Deep understanding of long-term care regulations, PDPM, survey processes, and clinical compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Ability to travel regularly between assigned facilities. High level of professionalism, accountability, and problem-solving ability.
