We are seeking Preschool Teachers who have met qualifications at Level 9 or higher of the OK Registry Professional Development Ladder! This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children from birth to 5 years old. This is a floater position.

 

Schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm (Mon-Fri) 

Pay with CDA in ECE or BA/BS degree : $18.50ph 

 

Responsibilities:

• Instruct and supervise preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop and implement schedules/lesson plans and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students by routine housekeeping and classroom management practices
• Maintain portfolio and anecdotal notes on each child in care utilizing Teaching Strategies Gold
• Maintain NAEYC portfolio with current artifacts

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to lift 15-30 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to accurately audit records and ensure compliance with written or oral guidelines.
• Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.

Special Requirements: Clear OSBI Fingerprinted Background Check, agree to a physical and drug screening, and complete required OKDHS training, an AA or AS in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Associate.
