Summary:
The Physician Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, recruitment, coordinating of interviews, travel arrangements and site visits, referencing. Develop effective strategies/campaigns for recruitment of physicians
and advanced practitioners in training and practice in designated specialties including direct mail, print and internet advertising, residency programs and state/national medical organizations and specialty meetings. Maintains database of all candidate information to include curriculum vitae, contact information, referrals and follow-up information. Acts as a liaison with candidate and practice regarding credentialing and other issues.
Responsibilities:
*Identifies and recruits physicians and advanced practitioners. Sources and contacts targeted physicians and advanced practitioners. Identifies and contacts residency programs and practitioner programs. Assembles and distributes all collateral recruitment materials.
*Maintains a current list of open positions and tracks active candidates on open searches. Responsible for maintaining job postings on internet sites for designated specialties and/or association.
*Assesses candidate qualifications. Presents candidates to executive team for considerations.
*Coordinates preparation of itinerary and interview site visit(s). Assists with candidate reimbursement process for incidental expenses incurred by candidate.
*Works with executive leadership to develop and implement an annual physician recruitment and retention plan, including coordinating activities, planning and attending resident recruitment activities and events, developing marketing brochures and promotional pieces, and networking with local and national colleagues.
*Develops effective strategies/campaigns for recruitment of physicians and advanced practitioners. Develops recruitment ads across a range of mediums.
*Coordinates with recruitment vendors as authorized for permanent or locums placement of providers.
*Provides input to the physician recruitment budget, manages costs, audits and submits expenses for approval of payment.
*Acts as a liaison with candidate and practice regarding credentialing and provider onboarding. Coordinates relocation process for post-contract candidates. Continuous communication with credentialing liaison and managers regarding new provider credentialing status. Assists with documentation needed for the completion of the credentialing process as needed.
