Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Pathologist

Duluth, MN (1.0 FTE)

Essentia Health – Duluth, Minnesota is seeking an experienced pathologist to join our team of 12 Pathologists within a physician-led, integrated health system.

Work and live on the shores of Lake Superior. Our 12-Pathologist team works in a state-of-the-art laboratory at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center, which was newly built and opened in 2023. This 1.0 FTE position is ideal for a Certified Pathologist with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, and who has interest in Surgical Pathology. Sub-specialty certification in Hematopathology is a plus. The role offers competitive salary and benefits and is located in a region with a significant service area providing a wide variety of clinical acuity.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

• Ideal candidate: Vibrant, hardworking, team player with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience; must be anatomic & clinical pathology certified
• Specialization: Broad interest in Surgical Pathology; Fellowship and board certification in Hematopathology a plus
• Lab: Active clinical and anatomic pathology lab within St. Mary’s Medical Center – opened in July 2023
• Practice: Expanding referral practice in MN, WI, ND and Upper MI; no autopsies
• Team: Collegial group of 12 physicians with dedicated, supportive staff
• Systems: Epic & Epic Beaker

REQUIREMENTS

• BC in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Fellowship and board certification in Hematopathology is a plus
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience

LOCATION

• 150 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul
• Regional service area: 460,000; Metro population: 125,000

COMPENSATION

• $495,000 Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
