Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical part in supporting maintenance and reliability engineering activities at Pfizer, focusing the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non-production equipment for the QC Laboratories, North Creek Manufacturing Facility, and GMP Warehouse. As a Maintenance Technician I, you are recognized as a versatile team member with a broad range of practical skills and ability to solve problems in a timely and efficient manner. You will advance your career by specializing in one or more trades (e.g., industrial maintenance), pursuing certifications, gaining experience in more complex tasks, and developing your leadership skills.

Here is what you need:

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED. Experience as a Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician or appropriate trade (1 year min.). Demonstrated aptitude in basic mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills and problem-solving techniques. Knowledge of the general trades, that is, construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment. Must have the ability to follow specific instructions and procedures. Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic for developing and implanting solutions. Manufacturing experience and a solid understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Proficiency in basic mechanics, drive systems, and lubrication principles Ability to use a voltmeter to test for power presence Ability to read and understand diagrams and schematics.

Preferred Requirements

Knowledge of working in a GMP environment and completion of GMP documentation preferred. Knowledge of pharma utility systems and operations. Experience executing and documenting maintenance work order in a computerized maintenance management system. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired. Background in Cell Culture Manufacturing. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.

Physical/mental requirements include lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, and ability to perform mathematical calculations. Non-standard work schedule, travel or environment requirements include ability to work weekends, travel and work in aseptic areas (gowning requirements). This position will require a significant amount of on-the-job training on a 5x8 schedule (Mon - Fri, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM). Following completion of training (approximately 8 weeks), this position will move to 4x10 schedule front half of the week (Sun - Wed, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM). Work location assignment: on premise.
