Mailroom Associate
10+ months (temp to perm)
San Francisco, CA 94080
M-F (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Overview:
The position is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing parcels, freight, and mail operations. The role requires strong customer service, dependability, and technical skills, along with the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and operating material-handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming parcels and freight from trucks.
• Process all incoming parcels/mail into the Internal Tracking System.
• Sort and deliver packages to designated campus locations.
• Package and process outgoing mail and shipments using online shipping tools.
• Support clients with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklift (onsite certification provided).
• Ensure punctuality, reliability, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications):

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Related copy/office/mailroom experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required (per company policy).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic PC skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to operate office machines and technical equipment.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

• Office and mailroom environment with moderate noise and normal conditions.
• Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50-55 lbs.
• May involve pushing/pulling machines on wheels weighing up to 700 lbs.
• Walking between buildings is required.
• Additional background checks required.
• Free onsite parking provided.
