Job Description

Licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on commercial construction and renovation projects while ensuring full compliance with all applicable codes and safety standards.

Candidates must hold a valid Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License. This is a required qualification and cannot be substituted.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Run conduit, pull wire, and install panels, lighting, and power systems
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs efficiently
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, Minnesota state, and local electrical codes
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on job sites
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Accurately document work completed and materials used
• Provide guidance or support to apprentices when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License (required)
• Proven experience working on commercial electrical projects
• Strong knowledge of NEC and Minnesota electrical codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficiency with electrical tools, testing equipment, and installation methods
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with new commercial construction and tenant improvement projects
• Experience leading small crews or job segments
