POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible, as the first-line operational supervisor, for training and leading team members in consistently delivering an exceptional guest experience, including ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on 20/20 guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with all Jack in the Box procedures, systems and standards. Guest Expectations Well-Trained: always says "YES" to the guest, follows the 3-steps (Listens, Says Sorry, Makes it Right) when a problem occurs, uses JIB Smart Selling standards, trains and coaches team members using the Guest Expectations training materials, models calmness and productivity during busy times, and coaches team members to ensure they are knowledgeable on job requirements. Neat and Well-Groomed: holds team members accountable to JIB uniform and grooming standards, coaches them when non-compliant, and models a clean, professional appearance. Friendly: acknowledges each guest with a smile, treats everyone with care and respect, maintains a positive and friendly attitude, and models and coaches team members on the JIB Hospitality Model. Well-Staffed: demonstrates how to maintain restaurant cleanliness, helps with order taking and cashiering during busy times, leads and coaches the team on being ready to serve guests, encourages collaboration, and follows JIB Restaurant Policies and Rules for working hours and breaks. Food Tastes Great: monitors food quality, ensures food looks and tastes great, models and monitors food presentation, coaches team members, and retrains as necessary to meet taste, appearance, and temperature standards. Consistent and Quick Service: models urgency, hustles, greets guests, encourages team members, leads and coaches team on fast service, and assists with order taking and cashiering during busy times. Order Accuracy: models effective communication and teamwork to ensure order accuracy, follows up on order errors to improve, and holds employees accountable for minimal errors. Food Safety: follows all food safety and food quality policies and procedures, completes the Food Safety Checklist each shift, and practices hand washing and glove procedures. Brand Ambassador Has passion for the business and pride in Jack in the Box. Inspires team members to embrace the brand and be proud representatives. Focus on the Guest Treats guests and employees with care and respect, stays passionate about serving guests, steps in to help employees, reads and anticipates guest communication, handles complaints with positivity, and inspires the team to prioritize guests. Trains others on products and menu, handles cash management, follows Jack in the Box policies, and maintains integrity and ethical behavior. Front of Restaurant Duties Guest Service (Dine In/Drive‑Thru): acknowledge guests, taking and clarifying orders, operating POS, collecting payment, assembling orders, maintaining cleanliness and stocking work area. Interior Cleaning: empties trash cans, sweeps and mops floors, cleans tables and chairs, washes windows and doors, cleans restrooms, and cleans equipment. Exterior Cleaning: sweeps drive‑thru, cleans parking lots, empties exterior trash cans, and maintains curbside cleanliness. SUPERVISION Responsibilities Workstation Operation: supervises, trains team on workstation operations, and ensures compliance with procedures, systems, and food safety. Guest Service: holds team accountable for excellent service, responds to guest concerns positively, and ensures resolution. Leadership: creates a friendly, clean, and safe environment; conducts onboarding and training; provides feedback and recognition; ensures personal and uniform cleanliness; and reports employee issues to management. Back of Restaurant Duties Grill: prepares menu products, warms/toasts/grills bread, cooks items on grill, maintains equipment, and ensures cleanliness of the work area. Assembly: assembles products, verifies appearance, temperature, and order accuracy before delivery. Prep: stores frozen and defrosted products, applies first‑in first‑out rotation, and maintains clean prep areas. Fryer: prepares fry products, operates timers, maintains fryer prep area, and ensures cleanliness. Interior: empties trash, cleans floors and surfaces, washes dishes and utensils, maintains equipment, and ensures overall interior cleanliness. Exterior: sweeps drive‑thru and parking lot, whitens exterior items, and ensures overall exterior cleanliness. Receiving & Storage: receives and stores products following established procedures. Qualifications Experience: 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotions, or 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: at least 18 years old, completion of Team Leader training classes, ServSafe certification (in certain states), effective English communication, basic math skills, organizational and planning skills, self‑starter, integrity, basic PC skills. Physical Requirements: stand and walk 90-95% of shift, lift 15-25 lbs, handle cash register, read video monitors.
