Jack In The Box - ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER Santa Ana, CA | $65,000 - $72,000 | 8 months ago Position Summary Responsible for managing restaurant operations in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities include providing excellent internal and external service, building restaurant sales and profit, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties & Responsibilities Internal Service : Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees; monitor staffing levels; implement training systems; develop internal candidates for management; ensure a friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment; treat employees with respect; motivate and inspire high performance. External Service : Manage daily activities to achieve operational excellence; train and hold team accountable for consistent guest service and food quality; monitor adherence to JIB systems, procedures, and food safety; respond to guest concerns promptly; maintain a positive brand image through consistent food quality, service, and cleanliness. Higher Profits : Partner with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance, identify trends, implement action plans, and increase sales and profitability; monitor costs and adherence to budget and restaurant goals. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience Minimum 1+ year as Shift Leader or Assistant Manager in a customer service environment, or 3+ years as an Assistant Manager with P&L responsibility. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Must be 18+, complete Assistant Manager training, ServSafe certified, speak/read/write English. Strong interpersonal, math, analytical, organization, and computer skills. Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required. Physical Requirements Stand, walk 85–95% of shift; lift 10–65 lbs; operate restaurant equipment; use computer keyboard.
