IT Manager | Hudsonville, MI

Salary Range: $92,000 - $139,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the reliable operation and maintenance of all IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems, including ERP, MES, SCADA, and shop floor applications.
• Manage IT infrastructure, network security, and data integrity across corporate and production environments.
• Lead the IT help desk and support functions, ensuring timely resolution of issues for manufacturing personnel and production systems.
• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with manufacturing objectives, driving digital transformation and efficiency initiatives (e.g., Industry 4.0).
• Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect intellectual property, production data, and critical OT infrastructure.
• Drive IT projects from conception to completion, such as new system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and automation initiatives on the factory floor.
• Manage IT vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement of hardware and software solutions relevant to manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT management experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in managing manufacturing-specific IT systems, including ERP, MES, SCADA, and IoT platforms.
• Strong understanding of OT/IT convergence, cybersecurity for operational technology, and data integrity in production.
• Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects, manage budgets, and develop high-performing IT teams.
• Experience aligning IT strategy with manufacturing business objectives and driving digital transformation initiatives.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, or Industrial IoT platforms.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity best practices.
• Proven ability to manage IT projects with minimal disruption to production operations.
