Job Description
Harmony Early Learning is seeking a compassionate, nurturing, and reliable Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with infants (ages 6 weeks to 36 months) and a deep understanding of early childhood development. As an assistant teacher, you will be responsible for supporting the lead teacher to create a safe, warm, and stimulating environment where infants can explore, grow, and develop foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, loving care to infants in accordance with licensing regulations and center policies.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
Communicate daily with parents about their child’s activities, needs, and development through written reports or verbal updates.
Collaborate with other staff to create a supportive and inclusive classroom culture.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
Knowledge of child development principles, especially for infants.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Frequent kneeling, bending, and sitting on the floor.
Ability to respond quickly to the needs of students
