HR Manager | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing roles, including skilled trades and production staff.
• Manage employee relations, addressing grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution within a plant environment.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations specific to manufacturing.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the unique operational needs of a manufacturing facility.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity for manufacturing employees.
• Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and development plans for production teams.
• Coordinate and deliver training programs focused on safety, skill development, and operational efficiency for plant personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR management experience, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws, OSHA regulations, and HR best practices relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruitment, talent development, and employee relations for a diverse workforce, including production staff.
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and safety programs tailored for a plant setting.
• Demonstrated skills in HRIS management, payroll oversight, and performance management processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
• Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Vietnamese, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety protocols.
• Experience developing and implementing skilled trades apprenticeship programs.
