Global Director, Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) Pay Range: $170,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr About the Role This is a strategic and highly visible leadership position — ideal for someone who thrives on complexity, can lead both technically and operationally, and is energized by building and strengthening global safety systems. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and lead the global EHSS strategy ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, EU ATEX, REACH/CLP, and other global standards. Lead multiple sites globally, coaching and mentoring EHSS professionals while driving consistency and excellence. Partner with senior leaders and regulatory agencies to influence decisions and strengthen compliance posture. Translate complex technical information into actionable insights for both leadership and lab teams. Use data-driven approaches to prioritize risk, identify trends, and guide continuous improvement. Manage the annual EHSS plan and budget, ensuring alignment with business priorities. Serve as a trusted advisor and key member of the senior leadership team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred). 12+ years of EHS experience, including 10+ years in management roles. Proven experience managing multiple sites in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environment (medical device experience also considered). Deep understanding of GLP/GMP environments and laboratory operations. Strong leadership presence with ability to manage up, down, and across in a matrix organization. Exceptional communicator who can simplify complex regulatory and technical topics. Preferred Professional certifications (CSP, CHMM, CIH, CPEA, RBP). Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
