We are seeking a skilled and experienced FINISH TIG/MIG WELDER to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks, including welding and blueprint reading. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machines. If you are detailed-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications
• Operate power tools, such as drills, grinders, and saws, to cut and shape materials
• Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions
• Weld components together using various techniques
• Operate a crane to lift heavy materials and equipment
• Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
• Proficiency in using power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
• Experience in welding techniques
• Familiarity with operating a crane is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting heavy objects
• Experience using calipers is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Willingness to join Sheet Metal Workers Local 20 within 30 days of starting your employment
