Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, or scientific use. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test electrical equipment including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
• Review and approve designs for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety.
• Estimate time and cost for projects and communicate with stakeholders.
• Supervise simulation and testing of systems and monitor product quality.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and operational standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor team members.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in creating sketches, engineering drawings, and performing detailed calculations.
• Experience with computer-aided design tools and engineering software.

Technical Skills:

• Electrical harness design experience (hydraulic integration experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Creo) and PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter).
• Experience with FMEA processes.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.

Desired:

• Experience troubleshooting wiring and cable mounting issues.
• Knowledge of 3D clearance checks and visualization tools.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering is a plus.
• Internships do not count toward experience.

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
• Proactive learner with a continuous improvement mindset.

Work Conditions:

• Must work on-site in Tucson, AZ (remote work not available).
• Ability to work around heavy equipment and manufacturing environments.
