The client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for The Asher House, a nonprofit organization focused on animal welfare and community engagement. The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for leading the organization through its next phase of growth, scaling operations, and advancing the mission of animal welfare. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to drive organizational success, and experience in managing a high-performing team. The CEO will work closely with the leadership team to inspire innovation and ensure the organization continues to make meaningful contributions to animal welfare and community engagement.
The Asher House, located in Salem, Oregon, is a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals that have been abused, abandoned, or discarded. Founded by Lee Asher, the organization provides sanctuary to a variety of animals and promotes animal adoption through social media, community engagement, and innovative operations. The CEO will be responsible for providing visionary executive leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations, and developing comprehensive strategic plans to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the organization. Additionally, the CEO will lead fundraising initiatives, cultivate donor relationships, and manage the organization's financial sustainability and operational efficiency.
The CEO will serve as a primary spokesperson for The Asher House, communicate impact effectively to stakeholders, build strategic partnerships, and represent the organization at key events and conferences. In collaboration with the founder, the CEO will work to diversify revenue streams, develop a robust development strategy, and ensure transparent and collaborative relations with the Board of Directors.
