United Bank & Trust is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Teller to join our Manhattan location. As a Teller, you will be the face of our bank, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while handling routine financial transactions with accuracy and professionalism. You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring compliance with all banking policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accepts deposits, confirming the accuracy of the transactions.
• Prepares, verifies and issues money orders, cashiers checks, and redeems savings bonds.
• Conducts check cashing transactions by verifying customer identity and ensuring all transactions are property authorized.
• Enters transactions in bank’s recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts.
• Prepares settlements for teller cash and proof transactions.
• Recognizes and capitalizes on opportunities to promote the bank’s services and refers customers to other products and services.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Must demonstrate adherence to compliance policies and main confidentiality
• Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Exhibits a strong work ethic and commitment to responsibility.
• Previous banking or cash handling experience is advantageous but not essential.
